Dionne Kelly P’17
Administrative Coordinator for Advancement

As the Administrative Coordinator for Advancement, I provide support to areas including alumni and parent engagement, fundraising, and donor relations. I am no stranger to Governor’s as I worked in Admissions and Advancement Services here for almost ten years prior to my most recent position as Advancement Services Manager at Brookwood School. I have lived on campus for 25 years with my husband, Jeff ‘85 (Latin teacher, head cross-country coach, dorm parent) and, along with the village that is Govs, we continue to raise our daughters, Shea ‘17 and Clare. I cannot imagine a better place for our family. I enjoy spending time on Cape Cod, relaxing on the beach, and hanging out with our two rescue dogs and bunny.

Brad Danielson
Director of Advancement Services

As the Director of Advancement Services, I oversee our Raiser’s Edge database. Additionally, I create custom reports to help our department analyze data and operate more efficiently. Prior to my time at the Academy, I worked for the Jesuits for many years as a Director of Advancement Operations. Outside of work, I am usually busy enjoying outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, walking, or sitting by a campfire. I live in Barrington, NH with my wife and cat.

Ray Goodman
Director of Leadership Gifts

As the Director of Leadership and Planned Gifts, I am fortunate to develop relationships with alumni, parents, and friends of the Academy to encourage their philanthropic support. My favorite aspect of this work is helping donors to align their passions with meaningful investments for the school. I have been at the Academy since March 2015, and previously was a director of development for the UNH College of Health and Human Services. Prior to working in development, I practiced clinical and community-based social work in NH for 11 years. I live in Newmarket, NH with my wife and two children. I especially enjoy time with family and skiing, golf, and hiking.

Jennifer Kyte
Director of Donor Relations

As the Director of Donor Relations, I seek to enhance the culture of philanthropy at the Academy by identifying, managing, and facilitating opportunities to recognize, appreciate, inform, and engage current and prospective donors. Just prior to my time at Governor’s I worked with multiple non-profits as a freelance marketing and events consultant. Before freelancing I managed the public programming and private events departments for The Crane Estate in Ipswich for six years. I live in Newburyport with my husband, our two children, and our fluffy little dog Domino. I enjoy hiking, reading, cooking, and time with friends and family.

Herb Kent ’08
Director of Annual Giving

As the Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement, I am fortunate to engage and sustain relationships with Governor’s Alumni to encourage alumni engagement and philanthropic support for the Academy’s future success. Prior to joining my alma mater, I was a senior level analyst in the e-commerce space for Rue Gilt Group and I recently moved to Danvers, MA with my wife after living in Boston for the last ten years. Outside of work, my hobbies include all outdoor activities, hockey, golf, and most importantly time with my friends and family.

Taylor Patten
Advancement Services Coordinator

As the Advancement Services Coordinator, I ensure that all financial gifts to The Academy are processed and recorded in a timely manner and that thank you letters and receipts are sent out to our donors. I have been working in Advancement Offices in independent secondary school settings for the past 6 years. Prior to working at Govs I worked in the Advancement Offices at Landmark School and Pingree School. I served on Endicott College’s Alumni Council and currently serve on Landmark School’s Alumni Council. My hobbies include travel, dance and photography. I love anything to do with Disney and I spend my free time at my beach house in Maine!

Diane Parsons
Prospect Management and Research Analyst

As the Prospect Management and Research Analyst, I work to discover and qualify known and prospective donors in order to enhance and inform the Academy’s fundraising effort. I provide information about a prospect or potential prospect’s wealth capacity, philanthropy, interests and connections. I also work with each fundraiser assisting them with the management of their portfolios. I began working in Prospect Research in 1990, rejoining the field in 2002 at Colby-Sawyer College. From 2008 to 2015 I was a Prospect Researcher at the University of New Hampshire. I am also a volunteer gardener on the Isles of Shoals. I plan and purchase the new plants for the season, coordinate up to 12 gardeners with the spring plantings, maintenance of the gardens during the summer season and the fall clean-up on Star Island.

Jane Piatelli
Director of Parent Giving

As Director of Parent Programs, I enjoy building and sustaining relationships with Governor’s parents as well as encouraging philanthropic support that makes a meaningful difference for our students and faculty. Prior to my current role, I served as a teacher, coach, dorm parent, Associate Dean of Students and as an Admissions Officer at several other independent schools. All three of my boys were born here in Byfield while my late husband, Larry, and I lived and taught at Govs. After spending time at Albany Academy, and then Berkshire School, I returned to the Newburyport area and to the Academy to be closer to family and the ocean. When not at Govs, I can be found walking the beach. My other favorite pastimes include reading, volunteering, and practicing yoga.

Daryl McGregor Robicsek
Special Gifts Officer

As the Special Gifts Officer, I am fortunate to engage with and develop and sustain relationships with current and prospective donors to the Academy strengthening their connections to the Academy and thereby encouraging their financial support of the Academy’s future success. I joined the Academy following retirement from a successful 34 year career in wealth management and institutional asset services with The Northern Trust Company in Chicago and Boston. My father, George McGregor, is class of 1951 and a trustee emeriti, and I was married in Moseley Chapel. My husband and I live in Atkinson, NH with our two sons whenever their schedules permit. I thrive on time with family and friends, especially at the beach, and also enjoy photography, gardening, and reading.
